How to Delete Your Account

If you wish to permanently delete your Beze account and associated data, please follow the steps below. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Account Deletion Process

Account deletion for Beze is handled via email request to ensure security and proper verification of your identity.

Send Deletion Request Email

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

Include Required Information

In your email, please include:

Your registered email address
Your registered phone number
Your display name in the app
Reason for deletion (optional)

Identity Verification

Our privacy team will verify your identity and may ask for additional confirmation to ensure account security before proceeding with deletion.

Deletion Confirmation

Once verified, we will send you a final confirmation email before permanently deleting your account. You will have 48 hours to cancel if you change your mind.

Account Removal

Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation email when the process is complete.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your Beze account, we permanently remove most of your personal information. Here's exactly what happens to your data:

Data Retention Policy

Immediate Deletion (Within 24 Hours)

Most of your personal data is deleted immediately when you request account deletion:

Your profile becomes inaccessible immediately
Personal information is removed from active systems
Your events and participation are deleted
Contact sync data is purged

Complete Deletion (Within 30 Days)

Some data may take up to 30 days to be completely removed from all systems:

Backup systems and cached data
Analytics and usage data
Server logs containing personal information
Third-party service integrations

Legal Retention Requirements

Certain data may be retained longer due to legal obligations:

Safety & Security Records: Anonymized safety reports and security incidents may be retained for up to 7 years for legal compliance and platform safety
Legal Proceedings: Data may be retained if subject to legal hold or ongoing legal proceedings

⚠️ Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your data, events, or connections. If you think you might want to use Beze again in the future, consider temporarily deactivating your account instead of permanent deletion.

Alternative Options

Data Download Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data:

Email [email protected] with subject "Data Export Request"
We'll provide your data in a portable format within 30 days
Includes events, messages, and profile information
You can request this along with your deletion request

Account Deactivation (Currently Not Available)

Temporary account deactivation is not currently available in Beze. If you're unsure about permanent deletion, consider:

Downloading your data first (see above)
Simply not using the app for a while
Contacting us at [email protected] to discuss your concerns
